Missing Danville 13-year-old found safe

DANVILLE, Ind. -- A 13-year-old Danville girl who went missing Friday afternoon has been found and is safe, according to police. 

Emma Houston, 13, was reported missing around 5 p.m.and police say they had reason to believe she was a danger to herself. 

Emma was found sometime before 8 p.m. and Danville police say she is now safe. 

The Danville Metropolitan Police Department posted the following message on their Facebook Friday evening:

Thank you for the calls, tips, shares and messages. The missing juvenile has been located safely. We appreciate all of the support from our community and surrounding areas.

We'd like to thank the Plainfield Police Department, Avon Police Department, Indiana State Police, Hendricks County Sheriff's Department, the Hendricks County Communications Center, and our local News Media for their assistance in this case.
