A tractor trailer hauling several hundred beehives has rolled over just east of Nashville, Tenn.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday in a rural area. Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan said the semi was hauling 450 beehives. Hundreds of bees were swarming around the truck, making it difficult for emergency crews to get to the driver trapped inside the semi cab.
It was unknown if the driver suffered any injuries.
Beekeepers were responding to the area to assist deputies in controlling the swarming bees.
Officials said the truck was also leaking diesel fuel.
The road surrounding the accident was closed, and people with bee allergies were advised to avoid the area.
