'Making a Murderer' killer's brother creates rap

Posted

The killer in the popular Netflix documentary series "Making a Murderer" is innocent, according to his brother, Brad Dassey.

Brendan Dassey was found guilty of killing Teresa Halbach. Brad Dassey says Brendan is a quiet and shy person, and there's no way he could have been involved.

He wants people to learn what he says is the truth through a new rap track that "they didn't do it."

“Someone told me it's more like a victory song for when he gets out," Brad Dassey said.

Dassey released the song following the release of "Making a Murderer." He's confident Brendan will get out of prison.

“Someone is going to come forward that knows the legal system in and out and they're going to really help us out," he said.

He points towards the interrogation on March 1, 2006.

"That’s the frustrating part. He sat there so defenseless."

Brad Dassey also calls Brendan’s confession strange, saying his brother was coerced into making it.

"Absolutely. It makes no sense."

Brad has visited Brendan several times behind bars, and he is floored by Brendan’s demeanor in prison.

"He’s in good spirits. He thinks something good is going to come out and he can't wait to come out and watch Wrestle Mania."
