Charlie Sheen says Donald Trump lied to him about 'diamond' cufflinks

During an interview with BBC talk show host Graham Norton, Charlie Sheen claims Donald Trump offered him a wedding gift that didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Sheen — who prefaces his story by saying he’s not fan of the billionaire — says he was at a dinner with his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, along with Trump and his wife, Melania. When the conversation turned to Sheen’s pending nuptials with Mueller, Trump offered the actor a gift.

“He says, ‘These are platinum diamond Harry Winston,’ and pulls off his cufflinks and gives them to me,” Sheen said.

Months later, Sheen had the diamonds appraised by a jewelry expert.

“She took the loupe, spent about four seconds and recoiled,” Sheen said. “She says ‘In their finest moment, this is cheap pewter and bad zirconias.’”
