A United Airlines flight bound for Houston was diverted to Nashville International Airport overnight after an allegedly intoxicated passenger caused a disturbance.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Mohammed Nasser Aldoseri was arrested after United Express flight 3550 – flying from Cincinnati – had to make a stop in Nashville.

Aldoseri was allegedly intoxicated and broke down an out-of-service lavatory door. He reportedly threw up in the sink and began “to speak in Arabic very loudly,” the police report stated.

At that time, the captain diverted the flight to Nashville.

When the plane landed, officers found Aldoseri passed out in his seat. He told police he’d drank eight lemon drop shooters before boarding the plane.

Authorities said he had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and had red, glassy eyes.

The 26-year-old was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. However, federal charges were pending in the case.
