An 11-year-old is among a group of juveniles accused of being involved in a spree of violent carjackings and robberies in the San Jose, California area last weekend, the Mercury News reported

According to the Mercury News, 11 youths aged 11 through 17 were arrested on Wednesday in connection to a six-hour crime spree that included at least 12 robberies, carjackings and burglaries. Some of the incidents were at gunpoint, police told the Mercury News.

The incidents started Friday night and ran into the early morning hours of Saturday.

Police said on Wednesday that 15 victims have come forward, but there could be more who have not reported being victimized.

Police caught up to the youths after three separate car chases. The drivers of the car were ages 11, 14 and 17, according to the Mercury News. The charges range of suspicion of armed robbery, carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft, evading and reckless driving and resisting arrest.

“I have a lot of concern about the rise in juvenile crime in the city, and the violent crime that has been occurring,” Police Chief Eddie Garcia told the Mercury News. “We’re not talking about graffiti or knocking down garbage cans or having loud parties. These are adult crimes. These are not kid crimes.”

Investigators said a group of three or four of the youths were involved in each of the crimes.
