This just in...Florida has a big python problem.

According to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, the group has captured "one ton of pythons from Collier County" in the last 90 days.

This includes the largest male python on record in South Florida, which measured more than 15 feet in length and weighed more than 140 pounds.

The group says during the 2016 breeding season they have already removed more than 2,000 pounds of Burmese pythons from the wild.

Biologists said they are accumulating more information about breeding and eating habits, which is leading to new methods of removing the species.
