A Georgia mother is accused of putting her two young children into a hot oven, killing the children, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported citing a warrant.

The incident allegedly took place late last week, according to court records. The woman, 24-year-old Lamora Williams, is being held in an Atlanta-area jail on two counts of murder, according to Fulton County, Georgia jail records.

The boys' father, Jameel Penn, found the children on the floor and called police, according to a warrant obtained by the Journal-Constitution. The children, 2-year-old Ke’Younte Penn and 1-year-old Ja’Karter Williams, were pronounced dead when authorities arrived at the family's apartment.

A 3-year-old who was in the apartment at the time of last week's incident was unharmed. Williams' 6-year-old daughter was with relatives, and was also unharmed.

Police told the Journal-Constitution that Williams claimed that she left the three children with a caregiver last Friday around noon. Williams also told police that when she returned, the children were dead and the caregiver was gone.

But law enforcement is not believing Williams' story, the Journal-Constitution said.
