Nissan recalls more than 91K Titan pickup trucks due to electrical issues

Nissan issued a recall Thursday for more than 91,000 Titan pickup trucks due to an electrical short that could cause the engine to stall, posing a crash risk.

The recall affects 2017 through 2019 Titan pickup trucks.

Nissan says if an electrical short occurs, drivers "may experience abnormal electrical activity in the vehicle such as interior lights flickering, intermittent radio, etc."

Nissan says dealerships will inspect the "engine to see whether the wiring is properly routed. If a problem is found, it will clip the wiring into the proper position or replace it."

Owners of the affected trucks will be notified beginning on July 23. Those with questions should contact Nissan customer service at 800-867-7669.

Check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to check which Nissan trucks have been recalled by VIN number.
