JACKSONVILLE, Florida — After a man who was sentenced to life in prison for ambushing and shooting a Florida police officer behaved smugly in court, the officer taunted him.
He pulled out a tube of the personal lubricant K-Y Jelly and told Kevin Rojas he is "going to need a lot of this," Jacksonville.com reports.
The court hearing in which the prop was used was Rojas' sentencing on Nov. 29; he had been found guilty of multiple counts, including attempted first-degree murder, in October.
The criminal shot the undercover officer multiple times during a traffic stop in 2016. The officer was taking his son to school at the time — he had seen Rojas driving erratically, Jacksonville.com reports.
His son was not injured in the incident.
