A woman's body was found in a wooded area behind a home in Madison Township, Ohio Tuesday afternoon and now police are investigating whether that case is connected to the remains found in nearby Ashland.

Ashland police found a missing woman and the remains of two people Tuesday morning at a home on Covert Court.

The missing woman was alive.

Ashland police gave little information and did not answer questions regarding the case at a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

Ashland Police Chief David Marcelli said officers found the bodies while investigating a case involving a woman who had been abducted.

Officers found the woman and the suspect at the home on Covert Court.

Inside the home where the woman was being held, officers also found the remains of two people. Ashland police did not identify the abducted woman or the remains but a family member of a woman who went missing last week spoke up during the news conference.

"We would’ve liked to have had some help," the man said Tuesday. "I prayed to god my niece Stacy, the one who has been missing since Thursday, her car was found up here on 9th street. She had been abducted from a BP station. We got a hold of every cop, sheriff to help us, we had zero help from them. We combed this area and shook this guy’s cage, got him rattled, he screwed up because we’re banging on his door last night where they were being held and he got rattled because of what the community did, what their family had done. We combed this area and rattled his cage. No thanks to police officers."

Stanley was reported missing after her car was found without her inside. According to Stanley's family, she was last seen around 10 p.m. last Thursday at the BP gas station on the corner of East Main Street and Union Street.

The Ohio Bureau of Investigation is assisting police with the investigation.

The Ashland County Coroner's Office is waiting to be given access to the crime scene.
