A receipt referring to a customer as "fatty" has cost a Rhode Island server his job after a Facebook photo of the slip shared by the customer went viral.

The customer, Dillion Arnold, posted a photo of the receipt Wednesday morning, which has been shared more than 1,000 times on Facebook. The receipt was from All Stars Restaurant in Warick, R.I.

"Yeah I'll never go to All Stars on Airport Rd. again," Arnold said. "I usually don't care but this bs got me offended legit id me as "fatty" then he wouldn't admit it. They lost mine and my friends' business."

The incident took place early Wednesday morning. According to WJAR-TV, the server was the 18-year-old son of the owner, Tony Ambrosio.

"I want to apologize to you, Dillon. From the bottom of my heart. I apologize," Ambrosio told WJAR. "That's not the type of person that I am, my employees are, or my child."

"That's not me," Ambrosio added. "That's not what I teach my children, employees or my kids, I hold them all accountable."

Dillon told WJAR he was offered a gift card, but did not accept as he called the encounter "embarrassing."

"I was signing my slip," Arnold said. "I didn't really pay attention to it yet, and then I just happened to read it and I saw it in the corner and I was like, 'Wow,' and my heart just dropped."
