Southwest Airlines flight attendant hides in overhead bin

A Southwest Airlines flight attendant decided to take herself as a carry-on bag on a recent flight out of Nashville.

The airline confirmed in a statement to multiple news outlets that a flight attendant hid in a plane's overhead storage bin as a joke.

The video, taken by Veronica Lloyd and later shared to Twitter, shows a flight attendant rolling around in the overhead bin.

"Is this a dream @SouthwestAir?" Lloyd wrote on Twitter. "I can't get over how weird I find this. @SouthwestAir please get it together."

Fox News reports that the flight attendant came down before the plane took off, and the flight otherwise went normally.

"Southwest Employees are known for demonstrating their sense of humor and unique personalities. In this instance, one of our Flight Attendants attempted to have a brief moment of fun with Customers during boarding," the company said in a statement. "Of course, this is not our normal procedure, and Southwest Crews always maintain Safety as their top priority."

Southwest flight attendants have earned internet fame in the past by spicing up the safety announcements.
