Southwest Airlines customers across country have experienced longer waits due to what the airline is calling a "systems outage."

In a tweet posted by the company's account around 3 p.m. ET, Southwest said they were "investigating issues with their systems" and would have more information at a later time.
We are aware and investigating current issues with our systems. We will keep you posted as we have more information to share.

Southwest's website appears to be down, and reports on Twitter indicate that the company has taken its registration process offline.
