NEW YORK, N.Y. – A woman died Tuesday morning when she was hit by falling debris near Times Square in New York City, a police source confirmed to WPIX.
The police source said the victim is a 60-year-old woman and she was struck by the debris on West 49th Street, between 6th and 7th avenues.
A spokesperson for the New York City Fire Department said crews were called to the scene at about 10:45 a.m.
When first responders arrived, they found the victim deceased.
