FISHERS -- One woman was killed in a crash in Fishers early Saturday morning.
The crash happened on State Road 37 near 131st Street around 5:30 a.m.
Police say a man and a woman were walking on the road when an SUV hit the woman. She was then hit a second time by a white minivan. Sarah Burgett, 72, of Fishers, died at the scene.
According to witnesses, it appeared Burgett was trying to cross SR 37 at 131.
Police say both of the drivers cooperated fully with investigators.
The crash is still under investigation, but authorities say it does not appear drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
