INDIANAPOLIS – If standing in a long line to vote doesn’t sound exciting to you, just imagine how your children must feel when they have to wait two to three hours during the process.
To eliminate the headache for you and your children, several central Indiana YMCA centers are offering free or reduced childcare on Election Day.
The hope is that parents can leave their children at the facility and take the time to exercise their right to vote.
Some of the YMCA centers offering the service include:
- Avondale: 3908 Meadows Drive
- Benjamin Harrison: 5736 Lee Road
- Irsay Family: 430 S. Market Street
- Jordan: 8400 Westfield Boulevard
- Ransburg: 501 N. Shortridge Road
- Whitham Family: 2791 N. Lebanon Street
