INDIANAPOLIS — The fight to win the Democractic presidential nomination is making its way through Indianapolis.
The National Urban League is drawing attention of several Democratic presidential hopefuls to its national convention here, including former Vice President Joe Biden, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
Each shared a vision Thursday for leading their party and their plan to defeat President Trump.
"He rips at families, he ripps them apart at the borders. He puts them in cages. He's actually working to undo every bit of progress President Obama and I and our administration did. We have to defeat Donald Trump this time out. He have to," Biden said.
Each candidate spoke for 10 minutes and was then interviewed by a moderator for a few minutes.
"We have a president right now who wakes-up every morning and tweets whatever he wants,” Klobuchar said. “He doesn't care if it hurts people. He doesn't care if it divides people.”
None of the candidates made themselves available for media questions following their speech.
