The rally was scheduled to be held at the UIC Chicago Pavilion.

According to ABC 7 in Chicago, a speaker announced the rally was postponed to another date due to security concerns.

An estimated 5,000-7,000 people had already arrived at the pavilion for the rally as of 5 p.m.

Trump's campaign issued the following statement after the rally was postponed:

"Mr. Trump just arrived in Chicago and after meeting with law enforcement has determined that for the safety of all of the tens of thousands of people that have gathered in and around the arena, tonight's rally will be postponed to another date. Thank you very much for your attendance and please go in peace."
