INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Family and Social Security Administration announced Friday that they would be splitting the March benefit payments for Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program clients.
The first half of benefit payments will be available on Hoosier Works cards February 22 and the second half will be available on clients' regularly scheduled March date, according to alphabetical schedule.
Indiana issued February benefits early, on January 16, because of the partial government shutdown. The split-schedule for March benefits is meant to help reduce the gap in payments for eligible SNAP clients that would otherwise be 60 days or more.
FSSA says clients do not need to take any action to get their benefits.
