INDIANAPOLIS — A newly signed law in Indiana will be a big help to military veterans and their spouses by exempting their retirement income and survivors benefits from the state income tax.

Governor Holcomb held a ceremonial signing for House Bill 1010 on Monday at the Indiana State Fair.

The law could potentially save veterans and their dependents thousands of dollars and lawmakers hope that it will keep more veterans in Indiana and bring others to the state.
