WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly honored Delphi murder victims Liberty German and Abigail Williams during a charity baseball game in Washington D.C. Thursday evening.
Donnelly joined other members of Congress to participate in the 2017 Congressional Baseball Game for charity. The Democrats won the game at Nationals Field, 11-2.
As part of the event, each player wears a shirt representing their home state. Donnelly chose to honor Libby and Abby with a Delphi softball team shirt.
"I have Abby and Libby and Delphi in my heart," Donnelly said in a video posted to his Twitter account before the game.

The annual Congressional Baseball Game made headlines Wednesday after House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others were shot during the GOP's practice for the game.
Donnelly was practicing with the Democratic team when the shootings occurred.

"It was great to be part of the game tonight to honor our friend Steve Scalise, who we are all behind who we are all praying for," Donnelly said in a video posted after the game. "It was an honor to be part of this, it was an honor to wear this Delphi shirt for our girls Abby and Libby who are always in our heart, and we promise we will do everything we can to find who did that."
Donnelly ended his video post with a simple message, "God Bless Carroll County, God Bless Delphi, God Bless Indiana, God Bless the United States of America."
