It's no secret that several celebrities have backed presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg with not only support but donor money.

One of those celebrities, in particular, is Mandy Moore, who went on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' Tuesday night to express just how much of a fan she is of the now-former South Bend mayor.

"I am a massive fan and supporter of Pete Buttigieg — he's my boy," Moore told Kimmel.

Moore then explained how she became friends with Buttigieg's husband, Chasten. Which happened the way we all make friends in 2019 — sliding into each others 'DM's.'

The actress went on to explain why she thinks this next election is crucial, and why Mayor Pete is her guy.

"I'm so impressed with him. I think he is overwhelmingly qualified — I think he's brilliant, and I love his message of unity. I think it's something we don't have enough of in the world right now."

"It's top of mind. I think it's essential," Moore said about politics today. "We all have an incredible amount of responsibility coming up within the next year. It's something I think about all the time."
