Former President Ronald Reagan's oldest living child said Monday he would not vote for Donald Trump – and he doesn't think his father would have either.
Michael Reagan, the adopted son of President Reagan and his first wife Jane Wyman, tweeted Monday that he would not be voting for Trump in Tuesday's California primary.

Trump has already accrued enough delegates to become his party's presumptive nominee, and all other challengers have dropped out of the race.
Nevertheless, Reagan's voice may carry weight with the GOP – many of whom hold his father up as an icon of conservatism.
Reagan went even further Monday, saying, "This most likely would be the 1st time if my father was alive that he would not support the nominee of the GOP."

Republican leaders at the national level have been lukewarm in supporting Trump. After the New York real estate magnate attacked an Indiana-born judge over the past week – saying he should be "disqualified" from ruling in a lawsuit against Trump University because of his Mexican heritage – several high-ranking Republicans, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, condemned Trump's statements.
