Body found in retention pond in Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating on the east side of Indianapolis after a fisherman located a body in a retention pond this morning.

According to police, crews were called to the 2200 block of E. 24th Street due to a body in the water. They located a person and determined them to be dead.

The investigation is in it's early stages, according to police.
