HENDRICKS COUNTY — Danville Police say two people are dead after a motor vehicle collision in Center Township.

The crash happened on Cartersburg Road, just north of County Road 200 South, around 5:30 PM. That's near the Danville baseball and soccer fields.

On Dec. 14, police identified the victims as Bryce King, 23, of Danville and Abby Scheibelhut, 26, of Pittsboro. Noah Wells, 20, of Danville was in the other vehicle involved in the crash and survived.

Police are asking for patience as investigators continue to work to figure out what happened.

"Completing an extensive accident investigation like this takes a lot of time and a lot of resources. Results of various tests unfortunately take a lengthy amount of time to process and we understand that this can be frustrating to individuals who want results immediately," police wrote on Facebook. "The length of time required to process and obtain these accident reconstruction, vehicle data, toxicology and various other results are out of our control."
