INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were killed and three others were injured in a crash on the city's northeast side Saturday morning.
Just before 4:00 a.m. officers responded to the 7100 block of Pendleton Pike for a serious crash. When they arrived, they found a pickup truck and white vehicle that had significant damage.
Inside the truck was an unresponsive passenger, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and second passenger of the truck were taken to the hospital in serious condition, where the driver later died.
The driver and passenger of the white vehicle were taken to Eskenazi in stable condition.
IMPD has arrested Luis Amador Aguilar and preliminarily charged him with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death. Investigators say Aguilar was driving the white vehicle that slammed into the truck.
Investigators believe that as the pickup truck was driving south on Pendleton Pike, the white vehicle driving west off a side street collided with the pickup truck. Investigators believe Aguilar had consumed alcohol.
