BOONVILLE — A 6-year-old Boonville girl died Saturday afternoon after a tree fell on her.
The Warrick County Sheriff's Office said in a release that deputies, along with the Boonville Fire Department and Warrick County EMS, responded to the 1300 block of Maple Grove Road at 2:38 p.m. on a report of a tree that had fallen on a child.
The child, Elliana Cobb, of Boonville, was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office said.
Boonville is located about 170 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
