INDIANAPOLIS -- A police officer fired a shot while responding to an incident at an elementary school on Indianapolis' far east side that involved two groups of juveniles.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sergeant Shane Foley says the incident involved two groups of teens in vehicles behind Brookview Elementary School. At some point during the incident, multiple shots were fired and one of the vehicles fled the scene.
Sgt. Foley says one Cumberland Police Department officer fired his weapon at some point while responding to the scene but no one was injured.

So far no arrests have been made but two juveniles were taken into custody nearby after police stopped the vehicle. An adult and at least two other juveniles were also taken in for questioning from the second vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation by Indianapolis police and Cumberland police.
