INDIANAPOLIS — Football fields across the state on Friday will turn their lights on to remember a football coach who died this week.
West Washington Athletic Director and football coach Phillip Bowsman died on Monday from complications from a stroke.
Bowsman was coaching his team at a semi-state game against Indianapolis Lutheran when the stroke happened.
Indiana HS’s are encouraged to turn on their football stadium lights Friday morning and leave them on until funeral services conclude on Saturday. Can’t think of a better way to honor Coach Bowsman. #BowsmanStrong @INFBCoaches @TellCityFB @BoonvilleFB @PaoliRam @NAFCSchools
