PHOTOS: The most powerful images of 2017

Some images moved us to anger. Others to tears. These are the most powerful images of 2017.

PHOTOS: The most powerful images of 2017 Ohio State may have won the Big Ten Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium this year – but Indiana gets to claim the real MVP of the game. When the game had to be delayed for 10 minutes during the fourth quarter because the field turf began falling apart in the end zone, Purdue alum Erik Harlow – armed only with a bucket of pellets – came to the rescue. Harlow earned the nickname "Turf Guy" for his feat during the game. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)Photo by: Andy Lyons
