INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were killed in two separate car accidents occurring on Indy's east and west sides Sunday morning.

The first crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on a ramp from Rockville Road to I-465.

Police say one of the cars may have cut in front of the other while getting on the ramp. The passenger riding in a Ford Mustang was killed. The driver of the vehicle was initially trapped in the car, but was taken to the hospital.

The driver of a Buick sedan was also taken to the hospital.

The name of the passenger killed has not yet been released.

Police believe alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.

The second crash happened just before 3 a.m. on the east side in the 6600 block of Brookville Road.

Police say they believe a driver lost control of his car when he hit a curb. His vehicle flipped over and he was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
