Many flights canceled ahead of East Coast storm

There are more than 4,500 canceled flights for Friday and Saturday ahead of the East Coast storm, according to flightaware.com.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Make sure to check with your airline if you're flying out of Indianapolis International Airport this weekend.

The east coast blizzard caused the cancelation of more than 6,000 flights as of Friday night

The biggest impact is on flights heading to or returning from cities on the coast, including Charlotte, Washington, DC, Philadelphia and New York.

The airlines hope to be fully back in business by Sunday afternoon.
