Every year, families can track where exactly Santa Claus is with the help of NORAD, or North American Aerospace Defense Command, one of the most important organizations in America's defense.

You can also track where Santa is with Google Maps. Although Santa's location seems to be about the same for both websites, they vary on how generous he is.

As of about 8 a.m., Santa has given out about 40 million gifts, according to Google's tracking. But NORAD says he's given out more than 550 million gifts.

No matter which tracker you use, watching Santa travel the world in real time is sure to be a fun experience for children.
