LAKELAND, Fla. -- A Florida woman is facing theft charges after investigators say she swiped packages from her neighbor's porch.
Interestingly, the suspect is a police officer's wife, and the victim is also an officer.
The victim's security camera captured 42-year-old Dana Hager snatching the packages Friday. A police wives group shared the surveillance video, which racked up 50,000 hits online. Someone then came forward identifying the suspect.
"The fact that Hager took the packages off of a neighbor’s front porch is shocking." Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told ABC News today in a statement. "The fact that she is the wife of a law enforcement officer is even more shocking."
Hager faces not only the theft charge, but is accused of violating her parole as well.
