MISSISSIPPI -- Hurricane Nate made landfall in the U.S. as a Category 1 storm Saturday evening near the mouth of the Mississippi with winds up to 135 miles per hour.

Concerns about the Category 1 hurricane prompted officials in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida to declare states of emergency, order evacuations and issue curfews.

Flooding of 7 to 11 feet is expected in parts of southeast Louisiana and along the Mississippi coast, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A storm surge warning is in effect from Grand Isle, Louisiana, to the Okaloosa/Walton county line in Florida.

We've compiled a list of some of the most popular webcams to watch the storm as it hits the Gulf Coast.
