Indiana tops Ohio State 85-60

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Troy Williams scored 23 points and Indiana won its ninth straight game in convincing fashion with an 85-60 win over Ohio State on Sunday.

Thomas Bryant added 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Hoosiers (14-3, 4-0 Big Ten), who outrebounded Ohio State 50-31. Yogi Ferrell had 16 points and Robert Johnson 11 and both had six assists.

Indiana led 24-12 with just under 10 minutes to play in the first half. The 12-point deficit was the closest Ohio State would come to challenging the Hoosiers the rest of the game.

During the final 10 minutes of the half, the Hoosiers outscored Ohio State 24-6, leading 48-18 at halftime. Indiana came out of the half and never let the Buckeyes get within 20 points.

Freshman JaQuan Lyle led all Buckeyes (11-6, 3-1) with 29 points.

The first half of Sunday's game was a combination of self-inflicted hardships for the Buckeyes and solid execution by the Hoosiers.

Indiana led the entire game and started out by putting Ohio State in a hole from the opening tipoff, leading 10-0 before Buckeyes' coach Thad Matta called a timeout.

On offense, Indiana was hard to keep at bay, involving all five players on the floor with fast ball movement and it resulted in five 3-pointers in the first half that brought Indiana fans to their feet and kept the Buckeyes trailing by double digits. Ten of Indiana's first 11 field goals came by way of an assist. The Hoosiers finished the first half shooting 50 percent, making 18 of 36 attempts.

Indiana's ideal start felt more like a nightmare for Ohio State. The Buckeyes shot just 28 percent in the first half and turned the ball over 11 times, leading to 17 Hoosier points. Indiana also outscored the Buckeyes 26-10 in the paint.
