INDIANAPOLIS — An Irvington couple is being forced to change the date for their wedding reception after a thief stole all of their invitations from their front steps.

Jonathan Hastings says the entire theft was caught on his Ring doorbell camera.

On Thursday afternoon, a man is seen on the surveillance video riding his bike up to the home on Ivanhoe Street, just off of Arlington Avenue, taking the packages on the porch, and leaving.

Hastings said the boxes contained a number of items, but most importantly, one of them had all of the invitations for his upcoming wedding reception.

A short time after the man stole the packages, another neighbor captured more video of the suspect as he dropped them in the road and had to pick them up.

"He got on his bike and I guess got halfway down the block and dropped the packages. When he went to pick them up a neighbor stopped him and said hey are those your boxes or what are you doing with them? He said they were his, picked them up real fast and rode off," Hastings said.

The invitations are being reprinted by the printer at no charge to the couple.
