INDIANAPOLIS—Improvements are coming to the I-465/I-74 interchange on the Indianapolis west side, but to get the work done, ramps will be closed in the coming weeks.
On Monday, September 30, the ramp from eastbound I-74 to 465 southbound will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for four days. The detour is to take 74 east to Crawfordsville Road and use the ramp to get back on I-465 south.
The next week, on October 7, 465 northbound to 74 west will be shut for repairs. The closure will also be for four days from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The detour is for drivers to continue on 465 north to 38th Street, go over 465 and then head back south on 465 to 74.
The Indiana Department of Transportation will be repairing bridge joints and patching the bridge deck.
