Big Pacer comeback falls short in loss to Boston

INDIANAPOLIS — The Pacers came back from 16 points down in the fourth quarter, but fell short to the Celtics Tuesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse 114-111.

Boston had the lead most of the night and was up by 16 with under eight minutes to play in the fourth quarter when the Pacers came to life and went on a 21-2 run.

But after taking the lead with just over two minutes to play, Indiana couldn't hold it.

Domantas Sabonis had 28 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the Pacers. Victor Oladipo had 27 points and T.J. Warren added 22.

The Celtics got tremendous production from their starters. Jayson Tatum had 30 points while former Butler star Gordon Hayward finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Indiana is now 39-26 and the Celtics improve to 43-2.
