INDIANAPOLIS -- Friends and family came together Monday to remember Butler University basketball star Joel Cornette.
A celebration of life service was held at Hinkle Fieldhouse for Cornette almost a week after he was found dead of natural causes at the age of 35.

Among the speakers were his younger brother, Jordan Cornette, who said his relationship with his brother had gotten stronger over the year.
"Our relationship reached a beautiful place, not just as a big brother, but he was my best friend," Jordan said.
A scholarship fund has been set up in Joel Cornette's memory.
