PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- When Notre Dame takes on Wisconsin on Friday, they'll be doing it with an extra bit of Hoosier power.
The team has five players from Indiana this year – unusual for a program that wasn't recruiting a lot of Hoosiers just years before.
"I think it's great," said junior Austin Torres, who's from Granger, Indiana. "We always joke around in practice, you know, when we're doing certain drills, we talk about how that's Indiana basketball at its finest."
Torres is joined on the Fighting Irish by four other Hoosiers: Demetrius Jackson, from Mishawaka; V.J. Beachem, from Fort Wayne; A.J. Burgett, from Avon; and Matt Gregory, the son of RTV6's own Chief Meteorologist Kevin Gregory.

Sports Director Dave Furst roped the younger Gregory into the "family business" this week and had him interview his teammates. See Matt Gregory's interview skills in the video player above.
Kevin Gregory's had his own bit of Notre Dame basketball-related fame this tournament when he was caught on camera celebrating the Irish's victory:
I've been OFF for a few days, but really still ON! Let me explain...

Notre Dame has fought its way into the Sweet 16 with wins over the Michigan Wolverines and the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks – the latter by just one point.
The Fighting Irish will face off against Wisconsin in Philadephia on Friday beginning at 7:10 p.m. EST.
