Colts place LB Trent Cole on injured reserve adding to list of hurt players

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts placed Trent Cole on injured reserve with a back injury, ending his season and possibly his tenure in the blue and white.

Cole was signed to a two-year, $14 million contract with $8 million guaranteed in 2015, according to rotoworld.com. He is set to be a free agent in 2017.

Cole made his career a success off of sacks as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, but at 33 years old, he has slowed a step since joining the team in Indy.

He recorded only three tackles this year so far, and just 32 in 2015 with three sacks, the lowest numbers of his career in a single season.

Cole is just the latest on a growing list of injured Colts. For Week 3, the Colts listed 20 players as either questionable, out or having missed some practice during the week.

Take a look at that list below from last week (we'll update this once Week 4's list has been released).
