INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts released wide receiver Andre Johnson this week – a disappointing end to what was looked at as one of the top offseason pickups by any team in the NFL last year.
The Colts signed Johnson in March 2015 as a free agent.
Johnson played in all 16 Colts games during the 2015 season, but only managed 503 yards and four touchdowns.

Before joining the Colts, Johnson played with the Houston Texans, who made him the highest-paid receiver in the NFL in 2010.
Johnson is a seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time NFL receiving yards later. The Texans named him their team MVP five times.
