Ballard suffered an injury to his right hamstring during the match against the Bengals. Backup running back Daniel "Boom" Herron, cornerback Sheldon Price and linebacker Junior Sylvestre also left the field with injuries during the game.

Herron was waived/injured by the Colts three days after he suffered that shoulder injury against Cincinnati. Junior Sylvestre remains on the team's injured-reserve list.
Ballard was selected by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2012 draft. He sat out the 2014 season after tearing his Achilles tendon during practice.
Ballard's loss appeared to be a gain for another Colt, linebacker Josh McNary, who was elevated from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Tuesday.
McNary signed with the Colts in April 2013 and played in 20 games, starting four times, before being put on the commissioner's exemption list in January amid criminal allegations.
A Marion County jury acquitted McNary of all charges earlier this month. Shortly thereafter the Colts signed him to the practice squad.

Also Tuesday, the Colts signed guard Robert Myers and running back Zurlon Tipton to the practice squad. Defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton was released from the squad.
