Fantasy football picks of the week

Posted

Here's a quick look at who to worry about, who to give another try next week and who to grab off that waiver wire, ASAP.

COLTS

Andrew Luck way under performed – He was picked in the first round and at the top of many fantasy leagues, but no need to panic yet.

Ty Hilton – Not a bad fantasy day, but got to watch for when he'll return from that injury – Donte Moncrief is a good pick up if you need a WR, since Johnson didn’t look like much in week 1, and is likely already on other teams.

Frank Gore had some cramps, that’s not out of the norm for 1st game of the year, but if the Colts keep passing like that, what’s the point?

QBs AROUND THE LEAGUE

Tyrod Taylor? Was it his play or Colts cluelessness? Could be worth a pick-up in 2 QB leagues.

Peyton Manning – Ruh roh – He finished with less fantasy points than 17 kickers. Give him another week or two before you sit him.

Marcus Mariota – PICK HIM UP NOW. He looked sharp, even with less than average receivers around him, and got it done with both his arm and feet.

RBs

Chris Johnson in for Andre Ellington after injury - Expect decent numbers for CJ.

Chris Ivory anyone? 20 carries, 91 yards, 2 TDs to start - He'll be the premiere back in a run-heavy scheme. He just became a No. 1 RB.

WRs

Sammy Watkins was held without a catch – Percy Harvin made up for it, proving to be the better choice through one week.

Terrance Williams is a good waiver wire pick-up with Dallas now that Dez Bryant is out 4-6 weeks.

James Jones of Green Bay looked like a blast from the past. He's a solid pick up.

PICK-UP OF THE WEEK:

Tight End Tyler Eifert of the Bengals: 2 touchdowns, 9 catches, 104 yards on 12 targets. He'll continue to be very valuable.
