INDIANAPOLIS -- Will Andrew Luck start in the Indianapolis Colts' quick-turnaround, Thursday night game against the Houston Texans?
The team rested Luck against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in favor of risking further injury to his shoulder, and back-up QB Matt Hasselbeck led the team to a narrow victory.
The Colts had also signed emergency back-up Josh Johnson, but released him Monday, leading to speculation that Luck would be good to go.
With such a soft opponent in the Jaguars, it seemed a perfect storm for the Colts to be able to give Hasselbeck the go-ahead and have Luck on longer rest for the Texans. Should the Colts then pick up a victory in Houston, a 3-2 record (3-0 in the division) would have them sitting pretty with another long rest for Luck.
It seems to be the long-play, but barring any setbacks this week, Luck will likely be out there.
