INDIANAPOLIS -- One by one, the special speakers at Peyton Mannings statue ceremony said the same thing: How extremely special it is to have somebody like Manning play in the NFL.
Some of them were serious, most of them attempted to add a little humor, but David Letterman was the icing on the cake.
Letterman started his speech making the crowd laugh, "4/12/47 I was born in Indianapolis. Lived here most of my life. Been on television 30 years, where the hell's my statue? I'm serious. If you can make one you can make two."
