Mason has been on the microphone at Pistons games for years at the Palace. On Wednesday night, he handed it off for a moment to another Detroiter.
Eminem grabbed the attention of the crowd and opened the first NBA regular season game at Little Caesars Arena with a message.
"Detroit, welcome back for the first time in almost 40 years to our city, to my city, to your city.. make some noise for the Detroit Pistons. Let's go!" he yelled.
