INDIANAPOLIS — After losing a close game on the road to the Seattle Storm on Sunday evening, the Indiana Fever didn't make it back to Indianapolis until Monday night, all thanks to travel insanity.
Several players kept followers on social media updated on their difficult trip home, including a pretty wry twitter thread by Natalie Achonwa.
game ended in Seattle at 6:30p. We’ve been at the airport since 7:45p. Flight was SUPPOSED to depart at 10:30p (had an hr layover in ATL, then to IND). Delayed till 11:30p. Board the plane, but now we just had to deplane for “mechanical issues”. pic.twitter.com/HeoqkDd28P

The Fever's flight from Seattle to Atlanta was delayed on Sunday night after the game, so the team didn't make it to Atlanta until around 8 a.m. on Monday. This forced them to miss their connecting flight to Indianapolis.
All of the flights from Atlanta to Indianapolis were full, so the Fever got a bus. Not only did the bus end up having mechanical issues, but the bus also had to stop to switch drivers.
WE LITERALLY CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP.

pitstop #2. potential bus issues. pic.twitter.com/nbXrwEZgL6
The team finally arrived in Indianapolis around 8 p.m., somewhere around 12 to 14 hours late.
To top it all off?
The Fever have to play Minnesota at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Not a lot of time for rest for the WNBA team.
WHAT. A. DAY.
